Champagne Taste on a Kool-Aid Budget

Okay, you caught me: I have expensive taste. I pore over pictures in magazines and Pinterest (four thousand pins and counting, thankyouverymuch) and think of fun ways to incorporate those same ideas into my home/life/recipes.

The only drawback? This little thing called money. From what I’ve been told, it doesn’t grow on trees. I’m not really an outdoorsy girl, though, so you may have to tell me if that is, in fact, true.

One of my favorite things in life is when I hear people say, “ I love that! Where did you get it?” It gives me no greater satisfaction than to beam back at them and say “ohmygosh, it was 75% off, I have to tell you the story…”

And that’s what I want to do with this blog.

These are things that I love. Or, in some cases I’m sure, things that I thought I would love and they ended up failing miserably (ahem, Pinterest).

So this is my life. I find things that I love, and then I try to find similar things for a price that I can live with. Baking is therapeutic for me, too, and I’m forever searching for that perfect, unattainable recipe that I’ll be known for someday.

Join in me journey through food, DIYs, finding great fashion for killer prices, and all sorts of other things that pop into my head.
